Ms. Albina de Gorostiza Gutierrez is a native of San Pablo City. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Masters Degree in Personnel and Human Resource Management from The University of Sto. Tomas.
In March 2001, she received a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education.
She is currently enrolled in St. Catherine University in Minnesota,USA,taking up Masters in Education.She will soon receive her masteral degree in Education on May 22,2010.
In April 2003, she received her Certification as an International Montessori Teacher from Montessori Institute of America. for ages 2 1/2 to 6.
She has also received her Certification as International Montessori Directress for 6 to 9 years old last November 2006.
She has worked as an assistant training manager of the Bob Garon Consultancy; Guidance counselor at Canossa College; Psychology Instructress at San Pablo Colleges; High School Principal at Grace and Truth School; and as an Elementary Principal at San Pablo Chung Hua School.
She is also a popular entity in civic organizations in San Pablo City. She has served as Charter president of Kiwanis Club of Siete Lagos.
Presently, she is the Vice President of the Private Schools Educator's Association of San Pablo City;the President of Emerald Lions Club,San Pablo City; she is a member of the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction, Philippine chapter and Member of the Board and Asst.Secretary of the Girl Scout of the Philippines, San Pablo Chapter.
In her drive to further her studies and develop the school system, she has attended several seminars, namely: 4 Q?s Success Program Seminar Southville International School; Multiple Intelligence Seminar conducted by Dr. Howard Gardner ; Joint Seminar on Teaching Strategies for the New Millenium; Training workshop on Science and Mathematics for Private School Teachers; regional Conference for Private Pre-elem/elem Schools; Kodaly Montessori Music Workshop;Seminar on Creativity in Teaching, Educating Diverse Learners whose proponent is Rita Dunn.She has also attended the UBD seminar at the CSB,De La Salle,University and Adamson University last February 2010.
Every summer, she is conducting training and seminar workshops at Scuola dei Bambini,International Montessori Inc.
